BIOGRAPHY AND MISSION

Patricia Swanson, the founder of UV SolBeads, has been teaching school for 20 years. She uses the UV detective beads to teach UV awareness and the need for wearing sun protection.

When a dear colleague had a serious bout with skin cancer, Patricia decided to market UV Sol Beads as a fun way to spread awareness of the power of the sun and the need for protection from the harmful UV rays, and to support causes important to her.

Trish is a 1984 Purdue University Alumnus, Elementary Education, and has taught for 20 years including 6 years overseas in Brazil, Mexico and Kuwait. She is currently teaching at the St. Hilary School in Tiburon and living in San Francisco as the Assistant Residence Manager ("House Mom") for the San Francisco Ballet Student Residence.

A portion of the profits from UV SolBeads goes to organizations that help promote keeping skin healthy, including The Skin Cancer Foundation.
